Become a Girl Meet Girl Ambassador & Facilitator!

Girl Meet Girl continues to grow because of women and sapphic-attracted humans who are willing to create space for connection in their local community.

We’re currently looking for Ambassadors in the following regions:

In Australia:
Queensland: Townsville, Gold Coast, South Brisbane, West Brisbane
New South Wales: Northern NSW (Border-Byron), Coffs Harbour, Sydney (anywhere!)
Victoria: Melbourne
Tasmania
South Australia: Adelaide
Northern Territory: Darwin
Western Australia: Perth

and anywhere outside of Australia (New Zealand, USA, UK).

If you love the sapphic community, believe in inclusive spaces, and want to help bring queer sapphic people together in real life, we’d love to hear from you.

Why Become an Ambassador?

Being a Girl Meet Girl Ambassador is about:

• creating safe, welcoming spaces
• helping people feel less alone
• fostering real-life connection outside of dating apps
• holding gentle structure so others can relax
• being part of something that genuinely matters

Many attendees come to their first picnic feeling nervous. Your presence can be the difference between someone walking away feeling unsure or walking away having met a new friend, partner, or community.

You simply need to be grounded, inclusive, and aligned with the values of Girl Meet Girl.

It is not about performance or running large-scale events. You’re also not expected to be a therapist, a public speaker, or an extrovert.

What’s Included in Being an Ambassador?

Girl Meet Girl Ambassadors are volunteer community leaders who host Sapphic Social Picnics in their region.

When you become an Ambassador, you receive:

• Access to our structured Ambassador Training
• Guidance and video support from founder Rosie Rees
• A clear, easy-to-follow picnic framework that makes hosting feel natural and grounded
• A clear picnic format and facilitation framework
• Ongoing support from Vanessa and the other current Ambassadors
• Event creation support (via Humantix)
• Access to exclusive Ambassador-only discounts for the GMG shop and Yoni Pleasure Palace!

The training is designed to be simple to move through while still giving you everything you need to confidently host.

You are supported (not guessing!) with a clear structure, shared values, and real guidance from people who are actively already building this community.

While this is a volunteer role, there are Ambassador perks and strong ongoing support.

You’re stepping into something that already has a foundation behind it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this a paid role?

No. This is a volunteer community leadership position. Ambassadors are not financially compensated for hosting picnics. There are Ambassador-only perks and optional affiliate opportunities available, but the role itself is unpaid.

Do I need experience running events?

Experience in hosting, facilitating, or holding group spaces is preferred, however it is not compulsory.

If you have experience leading community spaces, workshops, social gatherings, or group environments, that is definitely helpful. If you don’t, the Ambassador Training provides a clear and grounded framework to guide you.

What matters most is that you are emotionally steady, able to communicate clearly, and comfortable holding gentle structure in a group setting. Ambassadors are trusted to represent the values of Girl Meet Girl in their region, so reliability, inclusivity, and good judgement are important.

As an Ambassador, you do need to be someone who can hold space with care and maturity.

How often do I need to host?

Most regions host picnics every two to three months. Spacing them out helps maintain energy and attendance. You’ll work within what feels realistic and sustainable for you.

What kind of person makes a great Ambassador?

Someone who:

• values inclusivity
• respects boundaries
• communicates clearly
• believes in community over ego
• can gently hold structure without being controlling

Calm, steady leadership often makes the biggest impact.
